During a recent event attended by candidates running for a seat on the Malibu City Council, parent Julie Tobias told KTLA that she heard current council member Laura Z0hn Rosenthal admit that she knew about the toxins in the soil at Malibu High School well before the information was made public.

Rosenthal, also a parent of a Malibu High School student, acknowledged that she was one of many people who were told about problems with the soil, but claimed she was not given the full story.

The news came as more health concerns surfaced at the high school including reports that a fourth teacher was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

At least 10 teachers who worked at the school reportedly have thyroid disease.
