Stormy weather caused a series of problems across Southern California Wednesday evening including clogged storm drains and a mudslide on the 5 Freeway in Sun Valley.
All northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway were closed for several hours at Glenoaks Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol’s online incident website. Southbound lanes were closed at Sunland Boulevard.

But the weather outlook was expected to improve Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast called for clear skies and temperatures in the 60s.
