School Mentioned in Dorner Manifesto Closed

NORWALK, Calif. (KTLA) — Fugitive murder suspect Christopher Dorner remains on the loose Friday morning. Schools in Big Bear are closed, but so is a school in Norwalk.

On Thursday, deputies were posted outside the Norwalk Christian School as a precaution.

Dorner made reference to the school in his online manifesto, saying the school is where he first experienced racism.

“My first recollection of racism was in the first grade at Norwalk Christian elementary school in Norwalk,” he says in the posting.

“A fellow student called be a (N-word) on the playground,” he continues.

“My response was swift and non-lethal. I struck him with a fast and hard kick. He cried and reported it to a teacher. The teacher reported it to the principal.”

Dorner goes on: “The principal swatted (the student) for using a derogatory word toward me. He then for some unknown reason swatted me for striking (student) in response to calling me a (N-word).”

“How dare you swat me for standing up for my rights for demanding that I be treated as an equal human being,” Dorner rails.

He adds, “That day I made a life decision that i will not tolerate racial derogatory terms spoken to me.”

He then says that, “Terminating me for telling the truth of a Caucasian officer kicking a mentally ill man is disgusting,” referring to his firing from the LAPD in 2009.

Dorner was terminated after the internal affairs investigators determined he lied when he accused his training officer of kicking a suspect.

Deputies reached out to Norwalk Christian officials and encouraged them to close the school on Friday.

Investigators say there is no reason to believe Dorner is in the area, but they are taking extra precautions for the safety of the children who attend the school.
