LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Extreme heat continued to blanket Southern California on Sunday, and was expected to burn through more records.

A day earlier, several cities posted record temperatures including Palm Springs at 122 degrees, Indio at 121 degrees and Riverside at 105 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
