Fire Rips Through Restaurant in West Covina

Firefighters knocked down a fire at a vacant Chinese restaurant in West Covina early Thursday, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

covinaTwenty-five firefighters responded just after 2 a.m. to the Great Wall Restaurant in the 200 block of South Glendora Avenue, said Scott Gilmore, spokesman for the West Covina Fire Department.

The blaze caused the building’s front wall and roof to collapse, Gilmore said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
