Mandatory evacuations remained in place on Tuesday as a brush fire continued to burn near Idyllwild in the Riverside County mountains.
The so-called Mountain fire has burned 9,000 acres and was 10 percent contained as of 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
