A double stabbing Sunday in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles left one person dead and another in critical condition, authorities said.
A caller reported the incident about 5:54 p.m. in the area of Venice and South Hobart boulevards (map), said Detective Jeff Sandefur of the LAPD’s Olympic Division.
Officers responded to the location and found the two victims, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The other victim was transported to a hospital and underwent surgery, according to Sandefur.
Police declined Sunday night to release the names of the victims.
No other information was available.
