A 14-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday night in connection with the stabbing death of his sister at a home in Claremont, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call around 5 p.m. regarding a female stabbing victim who was not breathing at a home in the 300 block of Andover Drive, according to the Claremont Police Department.
Emergency crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department attempted to resuscitate the victim, but were unsuccessful, police said.
It was not known where the stabbing took place, but aerial video from Sky5 showed investigators taking pictures in the backyard of the home.
Police spotted the victim’s 14-year-old brother walking away from the residence.
He was questioned and arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
Both the victim and her brother are juveniles and their names were not being released.
Police said the parents were not home when the stabbing occurred.
No other information was released.
