LONG BEACH, Calif. – Two men were arrested in Long Beach on suspicion of human trafficking, and detectives Friday were looking for others who may have been victimized.

Lebrette Winn, 22, and Eric Avery, 24 were arrested following an investigation involving three alleged victims, ages 16, 18 and 20, who police said were forced into prostitution for as long as four months.

One girl was allegedly kidnapped off the streets of Long Beach, and another was befriended before both were forced into prostitution, police said.

The two women escaped May 15 and contacted authorities.

That triggered an investigation that led Long Beach police to a third victim, just 16 years old, at an Inglewood hotel.

Winn and Avery were taken into custody following a traffic stop May 16, police said.

Winn was charged with nine felony counts, and was facing life in prison.

Avery was charged with two felony counts.

They were scheduled to appear for their preliminary hearing on June 4, in Long Beach Superior Court.
