The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered Sunday morning at the base of some seaside cliffs in San Pedro, authorities said.

The bodies were found at about 10 a.m. on a sandy beach at the foot of a cliff near the 700 block of West Paseo Del Mar, said Officer Toni DePaolo of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man and woman appeared to be in their 20s, said LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez. No further information about their identities was available, he said.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of death and it’s not clear what injuries the victims suffered. Homicide detectives are investigating the case, but no foul play is suspected, Lopez said.
