A 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit near an incorporated area of Ocotillo Wells in San Diego County Thursday morning and shaking was from Victorville to the Mexico-U.S. border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor occurred at 5:48 a.m. and was first reported at a 4.1 magnitude.
It struck about 12 miles southeast of Ocotillo Wells and had a depth of 7 miles, according to USGS.
Shaking was felt in Victorville, areas around the Salton Sea, Perris, Hemet and Banning. Shaking was also felt as far south as Mexicali, Tecate and Tijuana in Mexico.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage.
