A 92-year-old man who was charged with fatally stabbing his 92-year-old wife inside their Fullerton home earlier this month was found dead in the hospital, officials said Wednesday.

William Frederick Dusablon was facing one felony count of murder and a sentencing enhancement of personal use of a deadly weapon, but he was found deceased at the hospital on Sunday,  the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

The case against Dusablon has since been dropped by the DA’s office.

Fullerton police were called to the scene of the deadly stabbing on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Dusablon residence located in the 900 block of Creekside Drive in the private community of Malvern Creek. Officers found Dusablon’s wife, Chiyoko, suffering from significant stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dusbalon was arrested at his home that morning and was facing 26 years to life in state prison.
