Donna Goldstein celebrated her 99th birthday at a 99 Cents Only Store in Beverly Grove Thursday after she recently won a shopping spree.

“I’m going to cry I’m so happy. I think that’s what it’s going to be,” Goldstein said as she filled her cart with Christmas goods, but not for herself.
Instead, Goldstein decided she was going to use her shopping spree to make holiday stockings for children in need.
She plans to donate the holiday stockings to kids throughout the community to make sure they have something special to open on Christmas morning.
“Sometimes we don’t realize how much is needed. I feel bad that I can’t do it for everyone, but it makes me feel very good that I am able to do what I can,” Goldstein said.
In honor of Goldstein, store employees presented her with a birthday cake, a certificate of recognition and sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
