Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing, Killing Man She Was Dating During Argument in Oxnard

A woman is accused of fatally stabbing a man she was dating while the two argued in Oxnard on Monday night, police said.

The incident was reported in the 100 block of Eliza Court about 8:45 p.m., the Oxnard Police Department stated in a news release on Tuesday.

Arriving officers found a man on the ground who was bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his shoulder.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery, the Police Department stated. He later died from his injuries.

Police identified him as 49-year-old Ricardo Silva of Oxnard.

Investigators believe Silva was arguing with 46-year-old Alvina Rodriguez when she allegedly stabbed him, police said. The two were in a dating relationship.

Rodriguez has been arrested on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter. She was booked into Ventura County Jail and is being held on $50,000.
