A woman suspected of driving while intoxicated was taken into custody following a pursuit through the San Fernando Valley and into Valencia on Wednesday.

Sky5 was first overhead the chase around 10 a.m. as the white sedan was driving on surface streets in the Pacoima area with 10 police units in close pursuit.

The vehicle then made its way onto westbound 210 Freeway, traveling at high speeds until merging onto the southbound 5 Freeway in Sylmar.

The car exited the freeway not long after and paused underneath an overpass before getting onto the northbound lanes heading toward Santa Clarita.

The woman returned to surface streets in Valencia at McBean Parkway. By that point, California Highway Patrol had assumed control of the pursuit.

A patrol vehicle executed a slow-speed PIT maneuver to spin out the rear-end of the suspect’s car and shortly after pulled the woman from the driver’s seat.

She was seen being detained and loaded into the back of a CHP SUV.
