From brazen smash-and-grabs to armed hold-ups, violent robberies are on the rise across Southern California.

Police say owners of expensive watches or drivers with expensive cars have been targeted by armed robbers at an alarming rate.

Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said residents need to be on the look out when they’re out and about.
