Buena Park Police Seek Help in Search for Missing 88-Year-old Man

Buena Park police asked the public for help Tuesday in locating an elderly man who disappeared about two weeks ago.

Family members reported 88-year-old Justino Fernando missing on Jan. 1, police said.

Fernando does not drive and typically collects recyclables between Western and Knott avenues, north of Orangethorpe Avenue, according to a press release by the Buena Park Police Department.

He was described as an Asian man, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Fernando suffers from dementia and takes medication, police stated in the release.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, dark jacket, cream color pants, and black shoes, police said.
