A bus driver who was responsible for transporting people with special needs in Tustin was arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse on Wednesday, according to the Tustin Police Department.

Jon Francis Farris, 57, of Garden Grove, was arrested after Tustin police investigated allegations involving Farris and three adult women with special needs, police said.

The victims all have the mental capacities of children, according to authorities.

Police became aware of the incident when a neighbor noticed the bus parked outside of Farris’ home and thought it seemed suspicious, police said.

“The reporting party thought there was something unusual going on,” said Lt. John Strain. “Then, when he walked into the vehicle the suspect was driving, he saw some things that he didn’t feel were appropriate and he called us about a week later.”

Farris’ is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Police are asking the public to help locate any additional witnesses or potential victims. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tustin Police Department at 714-573-3200.
