Video of two new bobcat kittens discovered last month in the central Santa Monica Mountains was released Tuesday by the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

Biologist Joanne Moriarty was monitoring the movements of Bobcat-339 earlier this spring when she noticed the animal appeared to be creating a den, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.

Park rangers used the bobcat’s GPS history to locate the den last month and discovered the kittens.

The two brothers, which have been dubbed B-340 and B-341, were taken for measurements, samples and were given ear tags, video posted on Facebook showed.

They were then returned to the den.
