WEST HOLLYWOOD (KTLA) — Sheriff’s detectives are conducting a battery investigation after a reported fight between Chris Brown and fellow singer Frank Ocean.

Deputies responded to a call of six men fighting Sunday night in the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.

When they arrived, witnesses told authorities that Brown and the other person, whom TMZ identified as Ocean, were involved in an altercation over a parking spot.

Sources tell TMZ that as Brown was at Westlake Studio listening to an artist he represents.

When Brown went to leave, Ocean and his crew apparently blocked him in, and a fight ensued.

The altercation allegedly led to Brown punching the victim, officials said.

Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the deputies’ arrival. The investigation was ongoing, police said, and they planned to speak to Brown.

A little later, Ocean tweeted about the incident, saying: “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there.” (Everest is Ocean’s dog.)

He also posted: “cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”

Brown is currently on probation for assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles the night before the Grammys in February 2009.

Last June, he was involved in a violent brawl with rapper Drake’s entourage at a New York nightclub.
