Crowds pack SoCal beaches over Memorial Day weekend

With the weather heating up and coronavirus restrictions easing, officials were expecting huge crowds at Southern California beaches this weekend.

Memorial Day this year marks the country’s first national holiday out from under heavy COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.

With more residents getting vaccinated against the coronavirus and number of infections declining, more people are traveling and venturing outside.
