A 28-year-old woman died in a multivehicle crash on the southbound 5 Freeway in the Granada Hills area early Friday.

The collision happened near the 405 Freeway interchange around 5:15 a.m. and involved four or five vehicles, according to California Highway Patrol’s incident log. The county coroner later identified the victim as Yessenia Camacho of Lancaster.
Sky5 video showed a car with heavy front-end damage stopped across two lanes. Another vehicle appeared to have crashed into a railing on the side of the freeway.
Officials blocked several lanes as they assessed the scene, causing delays during rush-hour traffic.
The SigAlert that was initially expected to last through 10 a.m. was canceled by around 7:30 a.m., CHP said.
Authorities provided no further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Down in Malibu, another fatal crash triggered a nearly six-hour closure of all lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway on Friday.
