The car drove through a planter and into the US Bank located at 801 S. Grand Ave. (map) at about 12:40 p.m., aerial video from Sky5 showed.

The driver appeared to have had a medical problem before she could park her car, but the cause was under investigation, Lt. Robert Lamborghini of the Glendora Police Department said.

The driver and a bank employee – who was hit by some furniture due to the impact of the car – were injured in the incident, Lamborghini said.

Both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The bank was expected to remain closed while officials checked on the safety of the structure, Lamborghini said.
