A woman’s body was found near an overpass next to the busy 110 Freeway in South L.A. on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

A 911 call initially came in from a person who reported a body in the bushes about 1:15 p.m., according to Officer Edgar Figueroa of the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the southbound side of freeway just north of Vernon Avenue and found a woman with a weak pulse, barely breathing. The woman died and the coroner was called to the scene.
It wasn’t clear how the victim got to the site where she was found, Figueroa said.
Aerial video from Sky5 showed a yellow sheet over the body.
The Los Angeles police and fire departments also responded.
