California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection firefighters battled a 41-acre brush fire in Kern County on Sunday.
The fire was near Sebastian Road and Wheeler Ridge Road, southeast of Arvin, fire officials said in a tweet.
Firefighters were battling a 35-acre blaze around 6 p.m. and the fire grew to be 41 acres a short time later.
The fire was 100 percent contained by 9 p.m., according to the Department.
