The Grapevine has reopened Monday morning as Southern California gets a brief break from the stormy weather.

The 5 Freeway was closed in both directions through the Tejon Pass overnight due to snow and ice on the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol announced the reopening on Twitter shortly before 3 a.m.

Drivers were cautioned to be careful of black ice on the roadway as they make their way through the area.

Although temperatures will remain on the cool side Monday, skies are expected to remain clear.

Another round of storms is slated to arrive on Wednesday and continue for several days.
