Police were looking for a gunman who walked into check-cashing business in Chino on Friday wearing a werewolf-style mask and shot one of the workers in the head.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. at “First One 4 Cash” located in the 12000 block of Central Avenue near the 60 Freeway, according to Tamrin Olden with the Chino Police Department.

At the time of the shooting, the business was undergoing remodeling and the back door was wide open.

There were two women working in the front of the store and two construction workers in the back, Olden said.

Surveillance video showed the masked intruder entering the building through the open back door.

The gunman opened fire on one of the construction workers, grazing him in the head, Olden said.

The intruder then ran out of the building the same way he came in, Olden said.

It was not clear what the motive was for the shooting.

The worker was expected to recover.
