Hemet police are asking for the public’s help on Wednesday after a 14-year-old boy was brutally beaten on Halloween night.

Officers were called to the 3400 block of Mustang Way around 9:10 p.m. after reports of an assault.

There, investigators learned that the 14-year-old was walking in the neighborhood with a group of friends when 15-to-30 other teens confronted them.

Four teens from that group allegedly assaulted the boy, police said. The victim fell to ground where he was kicked in the head and lost consciousness.

The boy regained consciousness after some time and used a passerby’s phone to call his family. The victim’s family transported the boy to a local hospital.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call the Hemet Police Department at 951-765-2426.
