Authorities responding to a call from a concerned neighbor found the woman around 2 p.m. in the 3700 block of Idaho Avenue (map).

The woman appeared to be about 61 years old, LASD stated.

The woman lived alone, although she periodically had tenants, neighbors said.

Multiple pieces of furniture, including a broken chair and bookcase, could be seen on the lawn in front of the woman's home, video footage showed. It was unclear how long the furniture had been there.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the LASD's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
