The fire was reported about 11 p.m. at the home in the 23100 block of Park Contessa, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed.

Video showed the home engulfed in flames as firefighters worked to douse the fire.

The house was apparently vacant when the fire started, the spokesperson said.

Firefighters knocked down the flames in about 45 minutes and no one was injured in the incident, the spokesperson said.

There was no immediate word on what may have caused the fire.

An arson unit was called to the scene to investigate.
