A plan to build a shelter for the homeless in Koreatown has drawn the support of some but prompted protests within the community. Both sides turned out at a Los Angeles City Council meeting on Friday where lawmakers were discussing the project, a day after the Los Angeles Times reported the proposal may be revised.
