A call to police about an armed man at a nail salon in Hollywood turned out to be a swatting situation that was intended to target a different location, authorities said Friday.

Officers received a call about 10:25 a.m. about the incident at the nail salon, located in the 700 block of North La Brea Avenue, officials told KTLA. A perimeter was set up at the scene, LAPD officials said.

Then, at around 1 p.m., LAPD told KTLA that it might have been a “swatting” call that was actually meant for a salon with the same address in Inglewood.

No other information was immediately available.
