EAGLE ROCK, Calif. (KTLA) – The Los Angeles Police Department issued a warning Sunday for residents in the Eagle Rock area to stay alert, after an uptick in crime.

The warning followed a string of residential burglaries over the past few weeks in broad daylight.

Just this month alone, criminals hit eight homes in the area, according to the LAPD Northeast Division.

The crimes were spread out from Toland Way on the border of Mount Washington to Round Top Drive on the border of Glendale Boulevard.

Police urged residents to report any suspicious activity.
