Police pursued a four-door white Chevy impala across several freeways and surface street on Wednesday night before finally using a PIT maneuver to bring the chase to an end.

The pursuit started around 10:40 p.m. when officers tried to stop the driver for suspected DUI, according to Officer Jack Richter with LAPD Media Relations.

Officers followed the driver from the 5 Freeway to the 170 Freeway where he exited and began driving on surface streets in North Hollywood.

Just after 11 p.m., a patrol car spun the suspect's car using a PIT maneuver at Vineland Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, aerial video showed.
