A man armed with a machete attacked and injured a 35-year-old man in the Baldwin/Hills Crenshaw area of South Los Angeles Monday morning, according to LAPD.
Authorities responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 5000 block of Rodeo Road just before 9:45 a.m. and found the injured man in a parking lot, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Liliana Preciado.
The man suffered from a laceration, but was conscious and breathing when the officers found him, she said.
His condition was not immediately known.
The machete-wielding attacker had already left the scene by the time officers arrived, according to Preciado. Police did not have a description of the wanted individual.
No additional information was immediately available.
