1 Arrested After Juvenile Male Killed in Moreno Valley Shooting

Authorities are investigating what led to a fatal shooting in Moreno Valley Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to a shooting call at about 4 p.m. in the 2600 block of Coronada Drive and found a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound,  the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Paramedics tried to save the juvenile’s life but he eventually succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives found another juvenile male and arrested him as a suspect in the shooting, the department said.

He was taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall in Riverside on suspicion of murder, according to the news release.

No further details were available on incident and it’s unclear how the two knew each other.
