Man Arrested in Alleged Craigslist Sex Assault

GLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — A transient from Arkansas is facing sexual assault charges after police say he attacked a woman who responded to his Craigslist ad.

tavionGlendale police say 27-year-old Garry Boga used the name “Tavion” and claimed to be in the music industry.

He posted on Craigslist saying that he was looking for a personal assistant.

On March 21, he arranged to meet with a 21-year-old woman from Illinois, who had responded to his ad.

The suspect met the victim outside a designated building in Hollywood, and told her he was running late for an appointment, according to police.

Boga asked the victim to get in his car so they could discuss the job as he drove to his meeting.

He then drove the victim to an apartment building in Glendale, and told her she needed to undergo a physical examination that he would perform.

Police say Boga then proceeded to sexually assault the victim under the false pretense of being a medical professional.

He drove her back to Hollywood after the alleged assault.

Police located and arrested Boga in Burbank on March 27. He is charged with two felony counts of assault and robbery.

Glendale police asking anyone else who might have been victimized by the suspect to come forward.
