Man Arrested in Thousand Oaks Home-Invasion Robbery

An arrest has been made in connection with an armed home-invasion robbery in Thousand Oaks, police said Thursday.

Authorities arrested Rocael Osorio Wednesday afternoon on the 7000 block of Owensmouth Avenue in Canoga Park (map) on suspicion of armed robbery, according to a news release by the Thousand Oaks Police Department.

Osorio was suspected of forcing his way into an elderly victim’s residence with a handgun last Thursday and stealing property, the release said.

He was booked at the Ventura County Jail on armed robbery and elder abuse charges, according to police. Bail has been set at $500,000.
