A man is in custody following a deadly stabbing outside an Anaheim hotel early Friday.
Police responded to an anonymous call just after midnight reporting a fight near the Clementine Hotel and Suites along the 1700 block of Clementine Street.
Arriving officers found a man suffering from at least one stab wound to his chest, Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Steve Pena said.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
Officers at the scene saw a man matching the description of a man involved in the altercation and went to contact him, Pena said.
The man fled from officers, but was later found on the roof of a nearby 24-Hour Fitness and was taken into custody.
The suspect was only described as a 44-year-old man who is believed to be homeless.
It was unclear what led up to the altercation, or if either of the men were staying at the hotel.
Police did not find a weapon on the suspect when he was taken into custody, but were searching the surrounding area.
