A man with a warrant for his arrest led police on a high speed chase across four Southland freeways before finally getting out of his car and attempting to flee on foot.

The pursuit began at the Rose Motel in Fontana, according to Lt. Robert Morris with the Fontana Police Department.

The man then traveled on the 210 Freeway, the 215 Freeway, the 60 Freeway and finally on the 10 Freeway where he pulled over near Millikan Avenue and jumped out of his car, Morris said.

Officers eventually caught up with him in the 3300 block of Ebony Street in Ontario where he was taken into custody without further incident.
