Man Shot and Dumped from Car on 110 Freeway

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — A man who was shot and thrown from a vehicle on the 110 Freeway in downtown L.A. remains in critical condition.

The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. Saturday on the freeway near 9th Street, causing a traffic nightmare

A male victim was shot twice and thrown from a car, investigators said. The victim has not been identified.

All lanes were shut down as officers searched for evidence.

The two lanes closest to the center divider were reopened by about 7:15 p.m. Traffic finally returned to normal speeds by about 8 p.m.

They’re still searching for the gunman, who may have sped away in a gray Toyota Camry with it’s rear window blown out.

Investigators were trying to determine if the shooting might be gang-related and whether multiple perpetrators were involved.
