Man Sought in Robbery at Redondo Beach US Bank Branch

Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for robbing a US Bank on Thursday in Redondo Beach.

The robbery occurred around 12:48 p.m. at the bank branch located at 1217 North Catalina Ave., according to a news release from the Redondo Beach Police Department.

The robber entered the bank and handed the bank teller a note, claiming he was armed and demanding money, the release stated.

The teller complied and gave the robber around $800. He fled on foot. No weapon was seen during the robbery, according to police.

The man was described as white, standing 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds.

Surveillance pictures showed the robber was wearing a yellow UCLA hoodie, dark blue workout pants and a light blue cap.
