A seven-vehicle crash in Rosemead on Friday morning left one person dead and six others injured, authorities said.

The collision occurred about 5:10 a.m. at the intersection of Glendon Way and Rosemead Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A female driver was killed and six people were hurt, said sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Martinez.

Deputies and firefighters responded to the scene, where news video showed an overturned SUV and two cars that were heavily damaged.

Two of the injured were transported to hospitals and four others suffered minor injuries, Martinez said. The conditions of the hospitalized victims were not immediately known.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
