A motorcyclist was taken into custody after a high-speed pursuit from Los Angeles to Orange County Friday morning.

The chase started around 9 a.m. after the motorcycle rider failed to yield, according to California Highway Patrol.

Sky got over the chase around 9:35 a.m. as the motorcycle was headed eastbound on the 10 Freeway near downtown L.A.

The driver then headed to the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway, driving at a high rate of speed between vehicles and on the emergency lane.

The chase led to the city of Orange, where the motorcyclist stopped at a 7-Eleven gas station on Mcpherson Road and Chapman Avenue shortly before 10 a.m.

An officer then quickly pulled up to the station and handcuffed the motorcyclist.
