The westbound 210 Freeway reopened in Claremont about 3 1/2 hours after a semitruck overturned and triggered a closure that caused heavy delays on Monday morning.

Officials blocked all westbound lanes at Towne Avenue around 4:30 a.m. after the semitruck overturned, according to California Highway Patrol’s incident log. Traffic resumed on the high occupancy vehicle lane just before 6 a.m. By around 8 a.m., the remaining lanes were reopened.

It’s unclear why the semitruck, which appeared to be a delivery vehicle for Amazon, overturned. Traffic was backed up for miles.

No injuries were reported. Authorities provided no further details.
