A Pacoima woman was sentenced to two years in state prison for running over a 40-year-old man in a wheelchair who died from his injuries.

Tatiana Cacho, 25, pleaded no contest on Nov. 19 to one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The victim, Manuel De Jesús González, was crossing the street near Terra Bella Street and Cayuga Avenue in Pacoima the night of Sept. 26 when he was struck, according to the release.

Cacho’s co-defendant, Christian Salvador Olvera, of North Hollywood was sentenced to 16 months in county jail for being an accessory after the fact.

Olvera was not in the car at the time of the crash, but later helped Cacho go to a body shop in an attempt to hide the damage on the vehicle, according to the DA’s office.
