Pasadena city officials on Thursday announced new COVID-19 safety protocols that will be in place for the 133rd Rose Parade and Rose Bowl.

Proof of vaccination or a negative coronavirus test with 72 hours will be required for visitors to get into some of the large controlled portions including the Rose Bowl and Float Fest. Those requirements, plus a mask, will also be in place for some ticketed areas as well.

Masks are also encouraged along the parade route, but proof of vaccination is not required.
