Pacific Coast Highway was reopened in both directions in Malibu Wednesday morning after a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle, authorities said.

The crash, which occurred at PCH and Coastline Drive, was reported at 4:49 a.m., according to the sheriff’s department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

The driver of the vehicle stopped after the collision, authorities said.

The bicyclist was transported to a hospital. The victim’s injuries and current condition were not immediately known.

PCH was closed and traffic diverted for two hours in both directions. The Highway Patrol later reopened lanes in both directions.
