Pedestrian Killed in Long Beach Hit-and-Run; Driver Sought

Authorities on Wednesday sought the public’s help identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead in Long Beach.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 67th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach police said.

Officers who responded to the location found a man on the road, the agency said. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

According to the Police Department, a driver struck the victim and fled. The agency has not released any details about a suspect.
