PALMDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — A man is hospitalized in serious condition after being attacked by 2 pit bulls while walking down a residential street.

It happened Friday morning around 11 a.m. on 12th Street East near Avenue Q.

The dogs — one of them stained with the victim’s blood — apparently escaped from their yard after being let out by a child.

A neighbor saw the attack and came to the man’s rescue.

He pulled the man away from the dogs, got him into his truck and drove him to Antelope Valley Hospital.

There’s no word on the man’s name or condition.

The dogs have been quarantined by sheriff’s deputies.
